Can you provide me with a drawing of my project?
Sunset Decks can customize almost any deck to fit your needs. We provide a FREE computerized 3D picture of what your project will look like before we build it.Whether you are looking for a deck, pergola, gable or ramp, you can be assured of what your project will look like when completed with your personalized 3D computer drawing.
If I live outside Shreveport/Bossier City, LA, can I get a Sunset Deck?
You certainly can! We have built many decks outside the Shreveport/Bossier City, LA area. We routinely travel up to 100 miles from Shreveport to provide custom decks and pergolas to the Ark-La-Tex community.
Are you insured?
Yes. We have been licensed and insured for 18 years ensuring our customers protection and peace of mind.
What material is available to have my deck built with?
The majority of our decks are built with pressure treated wood, but if you would like another product such as composite, we can do that too! Just ask and we will be happy to help.
Are the posts set in concrete or on pier blocks?
We set all of our posts in concrete.
Do you use nails or screws?
We secure everything with Deckmate™ screws. No nails. This helps preserve the life of your deck. Screws will not loosen over time.
How long should I wait before I stain my deck?
You should allow the wood 4 to 6 weeks to dry out before staining.
How long will it take to build my deck?
We can usually have a deck completed within 1 to 2 days. Construction time is totally dependent on size. We do many specialized multi-level decks.
Do you build benches, storage seating or privacy walls?
Yes. We can build anything to make your deck a functional place to entertain.
